Syncing multicam footage in DaVinci Resolve

WaveSync ships a Resolve Workflow Integration panel that builds the synced timeline directly in your project.

The Resolve panel requires DaVinci Resolve Studio. Blackmagic's Workflow Integration API is not available in the free version — that is a Resolve limitation, not a licensing choice on our side. If you run the free version, use the export route below; it works fully.

The panel

It installs automatically the first time you open WaveSync and appears under Workspace › Workflow Integrations › WaveSync after Resolve is restarted.

Select the bins to sync and the panel builds the timeline in place, each source on its own track, using the same engine as the desktop app.

The free version of Resolve

Export FCP7 XML from WaveSync and import it into Resolve. You get the same synced timeline; what you do not get is the panel inside the application. Nothing else differs.

What you should know before relying on it

Clips that do not genuinely match are flagged in place rather than placed wrongly and buried.
RAW containers — including BRAW — ingest and are placed, but their audio needs a vendor codec, so those clips are positioned by timing rather than matched on sound.
The panel needs the WaveSync desktop application installed; it runs the engine.
