Syncing multicam footage for Final Cut Pro

WaveSync syncs the shoot on your Mac and hands Final Cut Pro a finished FCPXML timeline. There is no Final Cut panel — this one is export only, and it is worth being clear about that up front.

How it works

Drop the card folders into WaveSync, let it analyse the audio, then export FCPXML (.fcpxml). Final Cut Pro imports it as a library event with every clip already in position.

Unlike the Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve integrations, there is no panel inside Final Cut Pro. Apple does not expose a plugin surface that would let one build the timeline in place, so the exchange file is the route.

What that means in practice

You work in WaveSync first, then move to Final Cut — not the other way round.
The sync itself is identical; the same engine and the same matcher run regardless of which editor the timeline is going to.
Clips WaveSync could not match are flagged before you export, so you know what to check while it is still easy to fix.
